Allanbank Mill Steading is situated in the special rural open landscape of the Scottish Borders. It is the home and studios of the artists, Pauline Burbidge and Charlie Poulsen. They have lovingly renovated this set of farm buildings, converting them from farm use to studios, for their art practice.
Pauline works with textiles, collage and stitch, making wall hangings and quilts. Charlie makes large scale drawings, sculpture and ‘growing sculpture’. Together they have created and developed a magical and unique environment of gardens, studios and home.
